MCCSC Students Excited About New Year

Students at Monroe County Community Schools Corporation returned to school on Monday.

Most schools across the area are back in session. A number started last week, and students at Monroe County Community School Corporation went back to class Monday.

Zayd Sabry, a fourth grader at Rogers Elementary in Bloomington was leaving his first day at school with his mom. H says he was actually glad to be back in session.

“So I think school is actually really good not just for learning, but for making friends and learning new stuff and telling your mom everything,” Zayd says.

This year is Zayd’s first year at Rogers Elementary. He has been attending a private school.

“So I’m really excited and I hope I have a good year,” he says.
