Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight is looking toward the fall general election. Goodnight defeated Roland Ellis in Tuesday’s primary by more than a thousand votes.

Goodnight says all along he’s been focusing most of his attention on the general election and facing challenger Scott Kern. ”If we keep doing what we’ve been doing I think we will be fine in the fall,” he says. “We’ve got a great story to tell – how things have turned around in the last couple of years and we’ve gotten a lot of state and national recognition for the way we have operated things.”

President Obama visited Kokomo in November to demonstrate how the city’s economy had benefited from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
