Two former coaches from Martinsville Schools were arrested this morning on charges of Child Seduction, a class D felony.
Deputy Special Prosecutor from Johnson County Doug Cummins says Jeff McGown, an elementary school teacher and high school tennis coach; and Tim Wolf, former high school basketball coach, each had separate relationships with the same student.
“According to the probable cause affidavit, both individuals engaged in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17 year old student from January 2011 to February 2012,” he says.
Cummins says an investigation against the two men began in earlier this year, when Wolf was arrested in Marion County after being found in a state of ‘partial nudity’ with the 17 year old. That case, Cummins says, is separate from today’s charges.
Cummins says he was brought in from Johnson County because of a potential conflict of interest from Morgan County Prosecutor Steve Sonnega. Cummins specializes in prosecuting crimes against children.
Both men turned themselves into Indiana State Police troopers this morning, and are now out on bond.
