Monday, January 7, marks the beginning of the General Assembly legislative session for 2013.

The 2013 Indiana General Assembly gets underway Monday, and WFIU is partnering with Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations to bring you a live special that offers a look ahead at this year’s legislative session.

IPBS’ Steve Walsh and Statehouse reporter Brandon Smith are in Indianapolis to interview key players, including House Speaker Brian Bosma and Ways and Means Committee chair Tim Brown, as they make their way toward the chamber. WFIU’s Stan Jastrzebski is in studio, speaking with guests scheduled to include House District 45 Represenatative Bruce Borders of Jasonville and Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan.

The one-hour special airs beginning at 11 a.m. Monday on our digital-only second channel, WFIU2, available with an HD Radio in the 103.7 FM listening area, and in 128K and 32K live streams.
