A Linton man wanted for child molestation was arrested Sunday. Monroe County Sheriff’s Department detective Brad Swain says Jason S. Kincaid was arrested without incident Sunday evening at 5:30 by Lawrence County law enforcement at a private residence. He says a tip from the public led to the arrest. Swain says while in custody, Kincaid denied the charges against him and claimed his 10-year-old accuser was merely upset because Kincaid wouldn’t provide the boy with alcohol. Swain says the boy’s stepmother had a different story.
A warrant was issued for Kincaid’s arrest last month after the boy told his family Kincaid molested him from August 2006 to May 2007 while he was a frequent guest in the boy’s household. Swain says Kincaid is being held on a $50,000 bond. Kincaid was also wanted for failing to appear in court.
