LED Company Opens First Indiana Branch In Bloomington

The city of Bloomington plans to contract with LED Source.

The first Indiana branch of a company focusing on energy-efficient lighting held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon in Bloomington. LED Source is a franchise with headquarters in Florida and provides LED lighting to commercial and residential customers.

Kremer says LED lighting is cost efficient compared to other energy sources.

“We do free energy analysis and we’ll do a return on investment,” Bloomington LED Source franchise owner Hugh Kremer says. “We’ll come and look at your current lighting and do a full spreadsheet on what you can save on energy cost maintenance cost and that’s no cost.”

The city of Bloomington plans to contract with the company in the future, which will aims to be environmentally friendly and says it will save the city and its taxpayers money.

Kremer says in the next five years he plans to open up four more locations in metropolitan areas including Indianapolis and Columbus.
