The parents of missing IU student Lauren Spierer made a pitch Monday for information on their daughter’s disappearance on Katie Couric’s nationally televised talk show. Robert and Charlene Spierer, along with other families with missing children, appeared in an episode called “Vanished: Gone Without a Trace.”
The younger Spierer has been missing for 18 months, following a night out with friends at a bar in Bloomington.
Spierer’s parents say they continue to be stonewalled by the last people to see their daughter. A Facebook page remains active seeking information on the fashion major’s whereabouts. The TV show also gave out the number to the Bloomington Police Department’s anonymous tip line.
