The midwest utility provider and the IURC were both been under scrutiny following the high profile hiring of a regulator by Duke Energy.
A grand jury has indicted the former chairman of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. David Lott Hardy faces three felony counts of official misconduct. Prosecutors claim Hardy helped Scott Storms land a job with Duke Energy while Storms participated in proceedings involving the utility.
Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry says his office will coordinate with Hardy‘s attorney for an initial hearing date and a time for him to surrender. Curry says there are no other IURC officials under investigation at this time.
