IU Women Beat Purdue, Take Over First Place

The Indiana University women’s basketball team moved into sole possession of first place in the Big Ten with an astounding 71- 57 win over in-state rival Purdue. The two teams were neck-to-neck for most of Monday’s game until the Hoosiers went on a crowd-pleasing 17-1 run.

More than 4,000 fans witnessed junior Jamie Braun reach 1,000 career points and head coach Felisha Legette-Jack earn her 50th victory at IU. The Hoosiers continue Big Ten play with a visit to Michigan on Thursday.
