Student With BB Gun Prompts IU Southeast Campus Lockdown

Indiana University's regional campus in New Albany, IU Southeast, went into lockdown Thursday afternoon after someone saw an "armed person" on campus.

UPDATE — Officials at Indiana University Southeast locked down the New Albany regional campus for more than a half-hour Thursday afternoon after a student “brought a hand-style BB gun to campus to use as a prop for a theater class,” a statement from the school reads.

Campus operations returned to normal within 45 minutes after police determined there was no threat to campus.
