Research from Indiana University shows the state needs to do more to prevent sexual violence.
Indiana University researchers say Indiana has one of the nation‘s highest rates of sexual violence and should do more to address the issue. Their report quotes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention–that one in five women in Indiana have been raped at some point in their lifetimes. The report shows women and youth are the most likely to be sexually assaulted, but there are related impacts on their families, bystanders and communities.
