Bloomington North running back D'Angelo Roberts was arrested Friday for underage consumption.
Bloomington Police arrested 12 people Friday for underage drinking – among them was Bloomington North’s two time all state running back D’Angelo Roberts. Roberts has verbally committed to IU.
Police were called to the Arlington Park Apartments at two o’clock Friday morning for a report of people fighting. When they arrived they found a number of underage people drinking. Of those arrested, only five were over eighteen. Bloomington Police Captain Joe Qualters says Roberts was not involved in the fight, but was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol. Roberts is 18.
The Indiana University Athletic Department refused to comment on Roberts’ arrest saying the runningback has not signed a letter of intent to play for IU.
