Assembly Hall is home to the IU Hoosier's basketball team.

Indiana University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass, in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference and the University of Iowa, have announced that the home men’s basketball game previously scheduled on Feb. 18th between Indiana University and the University of Iowa will be rescheduled for Feb. 27 at 9 p.m. in Assembly Hall.  The game will air on ESPN.

“Both our University and outside consulting engineers have advised us—and we in turn have advised the Big Ten—that the remediation of the problems at Assembly Hall will be 100% complete by early next week and that Assembly Hall will be safe and ready to host Thursday’s men’s basketball game without any limitations or restrictions,” said Glass.

Tuesday afternoon, a ceiling plate in Assembly Hall fell and damaged a few seats below. The Indiana-Iowa game was postponed so University engineers could determine if the ceiling was safe.
