Indiana University at Kokomo celebrated two milestones in its athletic department yesterday; the opening of its new gymnasium and hosting its first home competition as part of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The university celebrated by hosting a tailgate for the IUK Cougars women’s volleyball game against Rochester college. The new gym will be home to IUK’s women’s volleyball and men’s basketball teams and hopes to include a women’s basketball team in the future.
