After an 1-11 season and losing record (0-8) in the Big Ten conference last year, the IU football team is looking to turn things around. IU Head Football Coach Kevin Wilson says it’s important that the team limit mistakes on the field and use their depth to run the ball as they prepare for next week’s season opener.

“I think offensively we’re probably a little more complete,” Wilson says. “There’s still room for improving. The lines can be consistent, we’ve got a decent player tight end, a couple of receivers, and running backs.”

Wilson says they’re a little more complete on offense, but not yet ready to name the starting quarterback.

“Defensively more speed just consistently being in the right spot, so making tackles and being better on the kick game.” he says.

The first game of the season is next Saturday against Indiana State University.
