The Indiana University employee who is being charged with committing an act of anti-Semitic vandalism has been fired. The university fired Mark Zacharias Tuesday. Zacharias was employed as a scholarship coordinator at Hutton Honors College. He is being charged with felony criminal mischief for throwing a rock through a directory board at Goodbody Hall- which houses the Jewish Studies office. The Monroe County prosecutor’s office won’t comment on whether Zacharias will face additional charges in connection to the other recent acts of vandalism against Bloomington’s Jewish community, but has said several things are under review. Zacharias is free on bond.
