The Indiana University Hoosiers baseball team have earned the No. 4 overall seed as they head into regional play next weekend, the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee announced today.

The Hoosiers defeated the University of Nebraska 8-4 Sunday to win the Big Ten Tournament Championship. That was the team’s second consecutive Big Ten championship.

IU was the No. 8 seed going into that game.

IU will now host Indiana State University, Stanford University and Youngstown State University for the NCAA Regional on May 30-June 2.

Indiana State takes on Stanford 2 p.m. Friday to start the competition. The Hoosiers will face Youngstown State Friday at 7 p.m.

The regional is double-elimination.

ESPN is broadcasting each game of the regional. Both of Friday’s games will air on ESPN3.
