IU Baseball Versus Mississippi State Tonight

The Hoosiers will attempt to advance in their first College World Series appearance.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs defeated the Indiana University Hoosiers 5-4 Monday. IU faces Oregon State on Wednesday in an elimination game.

The Indiana Hoosiers are alive and well in the university’s inaugural trip to the College Baseball World Series in Omaha. The Hoosiers will play the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the winners’ bracket tonight after a 2-to-nothing win over the Louisville Cardinals Saturday.

The winner of tonight’s game will receive some time off, not facing another game until Friday. The loser will play the winner of the Oregon State/Louisville elimination game on Wednesday.

The eight-team tournament is double elimination and concludes with a best-of-three championship series that begins Monday, June 24th. The Bulldogs and Hoosiers play tonight at 8:00.
