The Indiana University Athletics Department plans to build a new volleyball and wrestling arena as a part of their capital campaign.

A $40 million donation made in December to renovate Assembly Hall launched the first part of the campaign.

Athletic Director Fred Glass announced the second component of the campaign on WFIU’s Noon Edition.

“One of the other two components is going to be a new arena for volleyball and wrestling on the athletics’ campus, which will bring the last of the final two pieces of sports onto our campus and really support those programs in the way that they need to be supported,” Glass said.

He says the upgraded facilities will allow the volleyball and wrestling facilities to be competitive in the Big Ten and nationally.

The capital campaign will also support endowments and annual student-athlete scholarships.
