Seven IU athletes are competing in the 2012 London Olympics.

Update 8/6/12

One athlete with connections to Indiana University has placed in the 2012 London Olympics, and another is hoping to do the same Tuesday.

IU alumn Christina Loukas placed 8th in the 3-meter springboard diving competition. This was her second appearance at the Olympics.

Derek Drouin, who is competing for Canada, has advanced to the finals in the high jump. If Drouin wants to medal in the finals Tuesday, he will likely have to beat his personal best of 2.33 meters or about 7.6 feet.
