The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that beginning Monday, Feb. 25, roads will begin to permanently close in southwestern Monroe County.
According to a statement, Carter Road will close just east of the Monroe/Greene county line. Cul-de-sacs will be constructed through construction where crossroads meet up with Carter Rd. Residents living to the east of the closure will be able to access State Road 45 via Breeden and/or Burch Roads.
As construction of the highway continues into Monroe County, more roads will be impacted throughout the year.
