Members of the Indianapolis Super Bowl Committee traveled to Dallas to learn what they can do to prepare to host the Super Bowl.

The 2012 Super Bowl committee spent last week in Dallas gathering ideas for what they can do to prepare when the big game comes to Indianapolis. Committee member Dianna Boyce says the NFL typically invites representatives form the next year’s host city to the previous year’s Super Bowl.  Boyce says the Indianapolis committee did gather a few ideas.

“We really did anticipate going back to the office this week and putting the pen to the pad on everything that we’ve seen and observed and be able to apply that,” said Boyce.

Boyce says while organizers in Texas were caught a little off-guard by six inches of snow the area got, Indianapolis is well-prepared for such an event. Representatives from the city’s department of public works made the trip to Texas as well. Boyce says she’s already warned potential visitors to make sure they pack their heavy coats.
