The Indiana University basketball team beat the number one ranked University of Kentucky on Saturday. IU junior Christian Watford scored a three-point shot at the buzzer for the 73 to 72 win.
Watford was also the high scorer of the game with 20 points. IU was up 30 to 29 at halftime, and the score remained close until the end of the game. It was Kentucky’s first loss of the season.
IU fans rushed the court after the game, creating a sea of red and white. Fans then moved to downtown Bloomington, where they celebrated in the streets on Kirkwood between Indiana and Grant by dancing on top of parked cars.
