Indiana State Police will be checking seat belt use and be inspecting commercial vehicles.
Indiana State Police are increasing patrols this weekend in anticipation of heavy holiday traffic. Troopers are specifically looking for drivers who speed, follow too closely, make unsafe lane changes and drive impaired.
State Police officials says they are also enforcing seatbelt safety as part of their Click it or Ticket campaign.
Motor carrier inspectors will be checking commercial motor vehicles, concentrating their efforts on enforcing traffic, logbook, size, weight and mechanical violations as well as illegal interstate parking.
