Indiana lost a hard fought battle against the number 8 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The Indiana University Hoosiers lost in a close battle against the number 8 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday at Memorial Stadium with a score of 52-49. The game was close for most of regulation, but Indiana could not regain the lead after the first quarter.

Running back Stephen Houston scored three touchdowns for the Hoosiers, leading the team’s offense.  Wide receiver Shane Wynn also added life to the Hoosiers with a 76-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Cameron Coffman in the third quarter. Wide receiver Duwyce Wilson and running back D’Angelo Roberts each scored touchdowns late in a late game attempt to catch the Bucks.

Defensive back Greg Heban stood out with 9 tackles on the game.  Heban also grabbed an interception that led to major shift in momentum for the Hoosiers in the second half.

As the game wore on though, Ohio State slowly broke down the Hoosier defense and scored enough points to secure the win in the third and early fourth quarter of the game.

Quarterback Braxton Miller put on a show for the Buckeye fans throwing for 211 yards and two throwing touchdowns.  He also rushed for 149 yards and ran for a 67-yard touchdown.  Running back Carlos Hyde and wide receiver Devin Smith led the Buckeyes in touchdowns with two each.

Ohio State advances to 7-0 on the season.  Indiana falls to 2-4, still winless in Big Ten play.
