House Speaker Brian Bosma signs House Bill 1001, a right-to-work bill, after the bill's passage in the Senate February 1.

House Speaker Brian Bosma (R-Indianapolis) is recovering from surgery for an infection in his knee. Bosma, who is 55 years old, initially underwent knee replacement surgery last summer.

Spokeswoman Tory Flynn says the procedure went well and Bosma is resting comfortably. This follows tests found the site had become infected and requires immediate surgery.

Flynn says Bosma hopes to return to the House late next week or early the following week.
