Indiana Hoosiers Advance To Third Round Of WNIT

Indiana beat St. Louis Sunday in the second round of the tournament.

The Indiana Women’s basketball team will advance to the third round of the WNIT after defeating Saint Louis on Sunday 71-53.

The Hoosier victory set a new single season program record in wins for the team, now 22-10 overall.

Leading scorers in Sunday’s match up included junior forward Amanda Cahill, junior guard Tyra Buss, and senior guard Alexis Gassion.

Indiana moves on to the third round of the tournament. The team will play the winner of Abilene Christian and SMU on Thursday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall at 7 p.m. The winner of Thurday’s game heads to the WNIT quarterfinals.
