The hum of revving motorcycles, golf carts, ATVs and trucks flood Brown County as vendors start setting up for Indiana Bike Week.
The Bill Monroe Music Park has been transformed into a motorcycle family’s heaven with events including racing, an antique motorcycle show, stunt shows, plenty of barbeque, and live music.
Director of Marketing Jeff Crotty calls it a family friendly event.
“And we want to expose children and families to the wonderful world of motorcycling. I think there’s a misconception a lot about motorcycling in the general public, we want to make sure that we are educating our kids properly,” Crotty says.
Among the food and custom leather vendors, the world’s fastest portrait artist Robin Walker prepares to draw as many Indiana Bike Week attendees as possible in order to break a Guinness World Record.
“I try and invite the public to enjoy a demonstration and appreciate the quality of it when I’m done. That way the public gets something special and sentimental and a souvenir of this event,” Walker says.
Robin’s stand is just one of many ways that Indiana Bike Week hopes to bring together the Hoosier family biking community for this revved up week.
The bikers will camp at the park all week, and the festival concludes on Sunday.
