Representatives from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation will travel to Italy next week looking for new jobs and investment with companies at the Italian Trade Commission.
The trip is part of the state’s attendance at the USA: Going Green / Opportunities for Italian Companies conference which it is attending at the request of the Italian Trade Commission, the official trade development and promotional agency of the Italian government.
Indiana will be the only state to present at the conference attended by approximately 80 companies in Rome. Indiana Commerce Secretary Mitch Roob said the invitation to participate in the conference is evidence that Indiana’s reputation as a welcoming place for international business is growing. The trip is being paid for with private donations to the IEDC.
