Snow is expected to turn into freezing rain or sleet by tomorrow morning.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service say a wintry mix of precipitation is heading toward central Indiana starting this afternoon across southwestern parts of the area and then spreading northeast across all of central Indiana tonight.

Precipitation will start as snow before mixing or changing over to sleet, freezing rain and then rain by Friday morning.

Residents further north near Crawfordsville and Tipton could see up to 2 inches of snow, while the rest of central and southern Indiana could see ice accumulation up to a quarter of an inch.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Friday.

We have the latest watches, warnings and delays right here as they are issued.
