3:36 PM UPDATE
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon until 8 PM Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s with heat index values as high as 105 degrees.
11:17 AM UPDATE
Hot temperatures are expected to return to central Indiana later this week.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service say a strong ridge of high pressure will settle over the area on Tuesday and Wednesday pushing temperatures to triple digits. Heat index values could reach near 105 degrees.
Temperatures will start to creep up Tuesday with highs in the upper 90s. Wednesday highs of 100 degrees could produce head index values to 110.
Storms are possible Wednesday afternoon through Friday.
