Hostess Files For Bankruptcy – 856 Indiana Jobs In Jeopardy

Layoffs at the Hostess Company could begin within two months.

Hostess could close all its 21 Indiana factories.

The Hostess Company has filed for bankruptcy which could mean a loss of jobs in Indiana. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January of this year and says it could go out of business soon.

In a notice to the state, Hostess officials say they have been working to restructure their company in order to emerge out of bankruptcy but there is a possibility that some or all of the company‘s 21 factories in Indiana could be closed.

Hostess employs 856 workers in Indiana and says layoffs could begin within 60 days.
