A cold front moving across central Indiana late last night brought numerous tornado, thunderstorm and flash flood warnings – the majority between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
Local storm spotters reported 60 MPH wind gusts along with half inch hail in Bloomington. Signs were blown down near the Arbys and McDonalds in Mitchell after 80 MPH winds were reported. Thunderstorm wind gusts up to 68 MPH were reported 3 miles southeast of Odon in Daviess county and 1 inch hail was reported in Brazil by amateur radio operators.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service state that widespread river flooding will develop by Thursday along rivers south of I-70 in Indiana.
