The heavy snow over the last few days is bringing some much needed relief to the drought conditions that have plagued Indiana for much of the year. Johnson County Emergency Management Director Tug Sutton says this is good news for farmers.
“It’s hard to believe that we had a drought and 95 degree temperatures all summer long and now this is our second major snowfall, at least I think, before Christmas,” Sutton said.
Sutton says the ground saturation now will do wonders for farmers in the spring.
