Health officials say they're a bit concerned that flu levels in Indiana are already widespread.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say Indiana’s flu status is now widespread.  The CDC upgraded the level from “regional” on Monday.  Epidemiologist Shawn Richards said that means more than half of the regions in the state have reported flu cases.  Richards said it’s not unusual for the state to reach widespread status at some point during flu season, but the early timing is a bit of a concern.
