Flimmaker Spike Lee Plans Bloomington Lecture

Filmmaker Spike Lee plans to visit Bloomington later this month to deliver a lecture.

Spike Lee is planning a visit to Bloomington this month as part of Arts Week and Black History Month.

Filmmaker Spike Lee will lecture to the Bloomington community during Black History month and Arts Week on February 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the IU auditorium.  Lee’s itinerary is still being organized, but the event is free to IU Bloomington students who have a valid student ID. Students may get tickets beginning February 7th at 10:00 a.m.  Lee will also speak to area high school and middle school students during his visit.

Shameka Neely

Shameka Neely, a native of Nashville, Tennessee enthusiastically joined WTIU as Senior Reporter/ InFocus Producer in the news department. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational and Corporate Communication, with a minor in Marketing and Masters of Arts Degrees' in Administrative Dynamics and Communication all from Western Kentucky University. Shameka also holds a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from Indiana University.
