First Indiana Tornado of Year Confirmed

The first tornado of the year touched down in Indiana  on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service survey team took pictures of barn and home damage in Delaware county, about five miles east of Muncie. The team confirmed an EF1 tornado with wind speeds of up to 100 miles per hour touched down Wednesday around 3:40 PM.

The tornado was about 100 feet wide and on the ground for two tenths of a mile.
