Fire Destroys Kokomo Buses, Could Cause Delays

Six Kokomo city buses burned in a fire Tuesday night, causing possible delays for Wednesday morning.

Six city buses in Kokomo have been destroyed in a fire in a transportation garage Tuesday evening.

The fire broke out around 6 p.m. Tuesday, completely destroying the barn that houses the buses.

Mayor Greg Goodnight says the city will continue service tomorrow, using the city’s remaining nine buses, although service may be delayed.

WISHTV is reporting there were no injuries, and firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.

Tweets from WTHR reporter Jennie Runevitch show the damage.
