The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals is hearing the case challenging Indiana’s ban on same-sex marriage on Tuesday.
It is the next step in the process after a judge earlier this year ruled Indiana’s marriage laws unconstitutional.
Since that ruling, federal courts around the country, including two appeals courts, have ruled on similar lawsuits.
