The Signature School, a charter school, ranks number twelve on the list as one of America‘s Best High Schools.

It‘s one of the cream of the crop high schools in the nation. Once again, The Signature School in Evansville has made Newsweek‘s list as one of America‘s Best High Schools.

The charter school ranks number twelve on the list. Principal Jean Hitchcock says the school has open enrollment and currently has a student body of about 323.

The school has a 100% graduation and 100% of the graduates go on to college. Hitchcock cites numerous factors for the school‘s strong performance. She says hardworking administration, engaged teachers, high expectation of students and independent, outside monitoring all play major roles.

Hitchcock says once they reach their limit for new admissions, they switch to a lottery system for admission. The school is located in downtown Evansville.
