An Indiana economist says national unemployment numbers show the potential for more job creation in the coming months. The US unemployment rate fell by almost half a percentage point in January to 9%. That translates into 36,000 jobs being added last month. Ball State economist Michael Hicks predicts the job growth will continue…
“Controlled by the growth in the economy and the expected demand and so I think we are looking at a better horizon for job growth in the coming months,” said Hicks.
Hicks says unemployment data is a good indicator of how well the economy is performing.
