The Indiana University Foundation is donating $50,000 to assist in the search efforts for Lauren Spierer. The 20 year old student went missing June 3.
Bloomington Police Captain Joe Qualters released more information Tuesday about the clothing Lauren was wearing the night she went missing. He described her shirt as a white v-neck with bell sleeves to the elbow and black leggings with zippers towards the ankle.
Police continue to review surveillance video collected the night Lauren went missing. Qualters says it’s possible video of car that may be related to the case could be released Wednesday.
“This is just another piece of the puzzle for us and we don’t know if it has any relevance, but again, has it stood out to us, does it make us curious, do we need to find out? Absolutely. It’s an important piece of the puzzle,” Qualters said.
Lauren’s mother, Charlene, says each day she continues to wake up and think that today will be the day they will find her daughter. “I go to sleep every night knowing that I have failed and that I haven’t done enough.”
Police say they’ve received nearly a thousand tips in Lauren’s disappearance and they urge people to keep calling with any information they think could help in the case. There is a $100,000 reward for information that could lead to Lauren’s return.
