The Dalai Lama has left Bloomington, but not before promising to return in two years. Arjia Rinpoche, Director of the newly renamed Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center, says the Dalai Lama’s Bloomington visit was a great success.
Rinpoche invited the spiritual leader to come back to Bloomington in 2009, and the Dalai Lama has accepted. Rinpoche says the Dalai Lama told him that the center should strive to offer more educational programs, and offered some advice as to how to achieve that.
More than eight thousand people attended the Dalai Lama’s public lecture at Assembly Hall on Saturday.
