The expansion is expected to bring 200 jobs to Columbus by 2014.

LHP Software is planning on hiring 200 more working in Columbus, Indiana, by 2014 as part of a new $5 million headquarters facility being built there.

LHP Software develops software for phones, hospital beds, medical devices and other electronics and already has some employees in Columbus.

Company founder and CEO Ryan Hou says the expansion is a direct result of the growth LHP Software has been experiencing over the past few years. He says the company has expanded about 40 percent a year over the last several years, and he expects that trend to continue.

The city of Columbus also sees the expansion as a boost to the local economy.

“LHP is in a unique industry sector, and they’re looking to fill unique skilled positions with the type of engineers they’re hiring,” Columbus Economic Development Board Director Jason Hester said. “Having LHP grow, it’s just another success story here in Columbus.”
