Jon Sewell will be the next Chief Executive Officer at Columbus Regional Hospital. CRH board chair Hutch Schumaker says the board spent several months searching for a CEO, and used a Chicago firm to interview over 100 candidates. Schumaker says the board met with the final candidates in person. He says toward the end of the interviewing process, it became clear who the best person for the job would be.
Sewell previously worked at hospitals in Colorado and Louisiana. He has been commuting from Las Vegas since July 1 and officially begins as CEO of Columbus Regional August 1. Sewell replaces Doug Leonard, who left in June to become president of the Indiana Hospital and Health Association.
