Randall Shepard will lead an effort to assess how well U.S. law schools are preparing students to meet today’s legal needs.
He will work with leaders from the judicial system–legal practices and education, and organized bar to consider a range of issues and make recommendations. The American Bar Association chose Shepard to chair the task force.
Bar President William Robinson says Shepard is known for his integrity, civility and opnenness to new ideas. Shepard is currently executive-in-residence at the indiana university public policy institute, which will provide support for the national project.
