The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles has suspended a controversial group‘s participation in the special group recognition license plate program. The BMV determined that the Indiana Youth Group violated state law and its services contract.
BMV officials says the decision comes after twenty Indiana senators raised the issue. BMV officials say after reviewing the case, they also found that the Greenways Foundation and Indiana 4-H Foundation also broke the law by publicizing the sale of low-digit plates for their organizations. BMV officials say no new plates will be issued for any of the groups in question.
