Boil Water Advisory Issued For Bloomington Neighborhood

The city of Bloomington has issued a boil water advisory for the area near Fairwood Terrace Neighborhood.

The advisory is in effect until further notice.

UPDATE: Jan. 30, 2:09 p.m.

The boil water advisory has been lifted, according to the City of Bloomington Utilities Department.

Jan. 29, 3:52 p.m.

A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued in Bloomington after a water main break occurred in the Fairwood Terrace Neighborhood.

The following area have been impacted:

•  East Fairwood Drive
•  East Prairie Drive
•  East Richland Drive
•  East Woodland Drive

The City of Bloomington Utilities says people in the area advised to boil drinking water for five  minutes prior to consumption. They should also flush their home piping systems by running cold water through all fixtures, including the washing machine until the water runs clear.

Tap water is okay for washing and bathing.
