All of Brown County south of Bean Blossom east and west is under a boil water advisory.
The Brown County Water Utility has issued a boil water advisory through Friday afternoon. The affected area includes all of Brown County south of Bean Blossom east and west. The towns under the advisory include: Nashville, Helmsburg, Lake Lemon, Gatesville, Gnaw Bone and Story.
The water utility is working on a water main leak in the area. The repairs are causing some residents and business owners to experience low water pressure or a water outage.
In addition to boiling drinking water and water used for cooking, officials are warning customers to be careful about doing laundry the next few days because the water may be discolored.
The advisory is expected to be in effect through 3:30 p.m. Friday.
