Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello will serve as the headliners for this year’s Indiana University Homecoming concert. The show will get started at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19.
Adam Soiref is an IU senior majoring in music business, and he serves as concerts director for the IU Union Board. He says the organization aims to find artists with cross-generational appeal for Homecoming weekend, given that the influx of alumni will likely make the audience more diverse than at a typical campus concert.
While IU homecoming concerts are normally held at the IU Auditorium, the Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello show will be held at Assembly Hall. Soiref says the Union Board thought this year’s particularly high profile billing would necessitate a higher capacity venue.
